Help!! how to rectify using wood/metal primer on walls
Hi,
I am in the middle of redecorating the alcoves in my kitchen (plaster) and realised I have used an undercoat for wood/metal.
I thought it was undercoat for walls (I wanted to remove all trace of the dark purple originally there) and but seemingly not. I have used Johnson all purpose undercoat but the tin doesn't state if oil based although it does say it's designed to enhance a glossy finish. Glossy is not what I'm after.
谁能告诉我需要做什么(我吗f anything) before putting on the emulsion colour?
Thanks in advance

Regarding whether it is oil or water based: If you look on the back of the tin it should state:
A - whether it is high, medium or low in VOC's (volatile organic compounds)
If it states HIGH it will be oil based.
If it states LOW it will be water based.
Also it should say what to use to wash your brushes out:
If it states White Spirit then it is oil based.
If it states Water then it is water based.
If it is water based then you can go straight over it with the emulsion.
If it is oil based, make sure it is fully dry , give it a light rub down with some fine abrasive paper, then continue with the emulsion.
