About Kelvin fulcher

I have over 35 years experience in the building trade and have a wide range of skills from building new homes to converting stone barns. I'm in the process of building my own 4 bedroom house which is 90% completed. the house I'm building is a timber frame home with block work to most sides and one side is faced stone work. I have done both these jobs myself. I have plaster boarded all the inside and plastered with multi finish to a paintable finish. I am now in the process of rendering the outside with a sand/cement mix to a float and sponge finish. I will do all my own pathways and patio.
2 years ago I built a 17.5 metre long, room in the roof bungalow. the job for me consisted of clearing the over site. the building plot was in the customers existing garden. dig footings, do all the concreting and all the block work. the quoins on the four corners was all faced stone. while doing the bungalow I also built a double garage. drainage, patio and pathways was also done by me. I have also built an extension for the daughter of this customer which made her kitchen bigger and an opening was also made.
I had a job that was to take a 6 metre opening out of the side of a property so that bi-fold doors could be fitted. two steel RSJ's had to be fitted and the doors had to be sealed with sand/cement render on the angles.
I am based in Cornwall which is very agricultural and has lead me to work on barns and convert them into living homes. the work carried out by me on converting barns include taking openings out for doors and windows. building block partition walls, setting up stud work and insulating between the studs. other work carried out includes pointing up the stone joints with a brush finish to protect the joints, digging up the existing floor to lay drains and damp proof barriers.
I refurbish the insides of houses when they are worn out. I've had jobs where I've used a breaker to hack off the plaster on the walls and then replaced with a sand/cement mix. I've also changed interior walls and moved them, also ive taken opening out in interior walls and put in arches which have been plastered.
I am an all round general builder who has the experience to take on a multitude of jobs with complete competence.
