About P.J.Flooring

As my profile points out I am NICF approved with over 40 years experience. I have worked for large hotels, both home and abroad, fitting borders and long corridors, ornate staircases with both heatseaming & silverseaming, also sewing. I have worked as a sole trader ( self employed) after I had served my time of 3 years with 2 years as an improver ie,measure and estimating. I worked on The Grand Hotel, Brighton, after the bombing, NationalTrust, Castles,stately homes. I have taught 12 apprentices, all of whom are in their own right master craftsmen. I now work by myself employing help when needed; my work is guaranteed and mostly work from recommendations. I lay domestic vinyl, also contract non-slip vinyl with welded joins to pubs, clubs, hotels and hospitals. I can, and have worked out of hours i.e. nights and weekends; but to be honest, running all over the country and abroad now take a back seat with the domestic side taking the lead roll,but you never say never again. I think my most memorable job was in Switzerland fitting carpets on the side of a mountain in a Swiss Cottage, then going skiing when the job was finished.
